Starting a new story in Vona Studio is a simple and guided process.
Whether you're starting with a memory, tribute, or personal journey, creating a new project takes just a few steps and allows you to immediately begin shaping your narrative.
This guide walks through the steps to create a new story, from selecting a format to configuring story details.
Accessing the Project Creation Flow
To begin, navigate to your Vona Dashboard and click the + New project button in the upper right corner.
This opens the story creation flow, which includes selecting a product format, naming your story, and identifying key characters.
Step 1: Choose a Product Format
You’ll be prompted to choose from available story formats:
- Vona Snippet (Free): Best for short-form reflections, key memories, or defining life moments
- Vona Flash (Paid): Suited for longer, thematic stories with multiple parts or chapters
Each product includes preset story structure, word count guidance, and AI credit allocation.
Click Select to proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Enter Project Details
Once you’ve selected a product, you’ll complete the setup form by providing:
- Project Title – This will serve as your working title and the default name on your book cover. Choose a title that reflects the theme of your story (e.g., Memories from My Childhood).
- Main Character(s) – Enter the full name of the individual the story is about (can be yourself or another person). You can add more than one character if the story is about multiple people.
Including characters helps personalize the storytelling experience and enhances future editing with Vona’s AI tools.
Step 3: Finalize and Create the Project
After entering your story’s title and characters, click Create.
Your project will be generated and immediately opened inside the project workspace. From there, you can begin writing, uploading content, or inviting collaborators.
