Accessing the Interviewer as a Guest

Overview

If you have been invited to share a story for a project on For Posterity, you will receive a link to access the Interviewer. This feature allows you to record and submit your story without needing to sign up for an account.

This guide will walk you through the steps to access the Interviewer, enter the necessary details, and begin recording.

Step 1: Open the Interviewer Link

You will receive a unique Interviewer link from the project owner via:

• Email
• SMS
• Direct message or other platforms

Click on the link to open the Interviewer page in your browser.

Step 2: Enter the Access Password (If required)

• If the project owner has set a password, you will be prompted to enter it.
• Type the password provided and click "Access Interviewer."
• If no password is required, you will proceed to the next step automatically.

Step 3: Provide Your Details & Accept Terms

Once access is granted, you will see a welcome screen prompting you to enter some basic information:

• First Name
• Middle Name (optional)
• Last Name
• Email Address

You must also agree to For Posterity’s Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy by checking the box.

Click "Start Interview" to proceed.

Step 4: Begin Recording Your Story

Once you have provided your details:

• The Interviewer tool will open, allowing you to start recording your story.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to record and submit your story to the project owner.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

• Incorrect Password: Double-check the password provided by the project owner.
• Expired Link: If the link doesn’t work, contact the project owner for a new one.
• Technical Issues: Ensure you use a supported browser (Chrome, Safari, or Edge) and refresh the page if needed.
