Introduction
The Interviewer tool in FP Studio allows users to collect personal stories by sending a secure, shareable link to interviewees. This feature enables contributors to record responses, which are then stored in the user’s Library for further editing and transformation.
This guide walks through how to generate an interview link, customize settings, and share it with contributors.
Generating an Interview Link
The Interviewer tool is accessible from the Editor section of FP Studio.

Step 1: Open the Interviewer Tool
Click the Interviewer button at the top of the Editor interface. A pop-up will appear with the option to Generate a Shareable Link.

Step 2: Customize Interview Settings
Before sharing, users can configure the interview options:
- Time Limit: Restrict the length of the recording.
- Password Protection: Require a password for access.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
The interviewee can’t access the link
- Ensure the correct link was shared.
- If password protection is enabled, confirm that the interviewee has the correct password.
The recording didn’t save
- Ask the interviewee to check their internet connection.
- Verify that FP Studio has permission to access the device’s microphone.
I can’t find the recorded interview
- Check the Library section for the uploaded recording.
- Use the search bar in the Library to locate the file.
